Eddystone Fire Company No. 1

On Saturday 02 Feb 2019 @ 1341hrs while company was making available from a previous incident in Ridley Twp redirected/dispatched to a mutual aid response in the 400Blk of E. MacDade Blvd, Folsom section of Ridley Twp for a vehicle fire with exposure to a building.

Engine 12-1 under the command of Capt. Steven Weber responded.
On arrival Incident Command Chief J. Hudyma (Holmes Fire Co.) directed 12-1 to standby the hydrant on the corner.

Incident Command pulled 12-1 from the hydrant to the scene, and directed crew to open up engine compartments on the vehicles for fire suppression.
Crew also conducted interior inspection of building with the TIC (Thermal Imaging Camera)

No spread or extension to the interior of the building, damage was confined to the vehicles and front overhead roof and signage of the building.

Crew cleaned up, restored, and cleared upon release.

Outstanding Command and Control by Chief Hudyma and all crews on location making a quick stop and limiting the potential of further loss of property.

On Saturday 02 Feb 2019 @ 1301hrs company was dispatched on a mutual aid response to the 1200blk of Jefferson Avenue, Woodlyn section of Ridley Twp for a building fire.

Engines 12-1 and 12-2 responded under the command of Capt. Steven Weber.
On arrival 12-1 crew was directed by Incident Command Asst. Chief S. Ryder (Woodlyn Fire Co.) to establish water supply to Squirt 67.
Water supply established and crews assisted in opening up walls/ceiling as well as overhaul. Small fire inside the wall of the 1st floor bathroom was contained & extinguished.

Cleaned up and restored equipment, cleared scene.

Outstanding Command & Control by Asst. Chief Ryder on incident, Companies on location worked well and made a successful stop to keep spread confined & property damage at a minimum.

Eddystone Fire Company No. 1

On Wednesday 30 January 2019 @ 0333hrs company was dispatched to the intersection of RT 291 (Industrial Hwy) and Saville Avenue for a Multi Car MVA with injuries.

Engine 12-2 responded under the command of Capt. Steven Weber.
On arrival found two car crash, one into a utility pole. One injury reported with medical assistance and transport to hospital provided by 48-7a and Medic 100B (Tinicum Twp Fire Co. & CCMC Medic Unit).
Excessive fluids and debris on the highway resulting from the crash. Co. 67 Spill Unit (Woodlyn Fire Co.) was called to assist with cleanup.

Highway was cleaned up, and reopened to traffic.

Thank you to our mutual aid partners for the assistance. Always greatly appreciated.
