On Thursday 11 April 2019 @ 1924hrs company dispatched to the intersection of 9th St & Eddystone Avenue for an accident w/injuries.

Engine 12-1 under the command of F/F S. Weber made the response
On arrival discovered a vehicle collision that resulted in major property damage to vehicles parked on 9th St. and the telephone pole @ 9th & Eddystone Avenue.
Striking vehicle was attempting to elude law enforcement at a high rate of speed prior to losing control and causing the resulting wreck.
After a brief foot pursuit the offending subject was taken into custody by law enforcement and transported by Ambulance 48 (Tinicum Twp Fire Co) for medical treatment.

Crew cleaned up roadway of excessive fluids and also assisted law enforcement in laddering a nearby garage for thier investigation.

Roadway was cleaned up and reopened to vehicle traffic. Extensive overnight repairs will be needed to the destroyed telephone pole.

Engine 12-1 restored and cleared scene.

Eddystone Police Department is investigating incident. No injuries to law enforcement or additional civilians reported. ... See MoreSee Less
